Jennifer, whose award-winning books have been recommended in publications such as the Guardian, spoke to children from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 about her journey to becoming an author, the lessons she learned along the way and how some of her stories came about.

The children loved hearing from Jennifer in the assemblies throughout the day that were tailored to their respective age groups. At the end of the day, Jennifer signed books, took photographs and chatted with a whole line of excited pupils of all ages. She even agreed to sign some books for, and have a photograph with, a very excited member of the school community: Mr. Baugh!

It is safe to say that the visit had an amazingly positive impact on our pupils. Sofia said, 'I loved hearing her answer everyone's questions, and it was great hearing all of her personal stories.' Lucy enjoyed the presentation in the morning. 'I really liked that it was interactive and we all got to join in.' After meeting Jennifer to get her book signed, she added, 'I thought Jennifer was really kind and lovely and I felt very grateful that she came to visit.'
